History

Based in Asolo, Italy, SCARPA® has been producing handmade boots since 1930 and continues to lead the way in technical innovation and performance. The brand’s pioneering designs have earned it numerous awards, including Trail Runner Magazine’s Editor’s Choice and the Outdoor Retailer Innovation Award.

In 2000, SCARPA® received the Elf Atochem Innovation Trophy for their Vega boot — a model that has summited all 14 of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks and served as the main boot at the Antarctic environmental research station.

The legendary Vega boot helped define SCARPA®’s expedition heritage.

Most recently, SCARPA® footwear was worn by Nimsdai Purja during his record-breaking “14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible” expedition.
